Job summary

Expedia Group in San Jose, CA is seeking a senior AI systems engineer to design and deploy multi-step agentic AI solutions that assist travelers and agents. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to translate business requirements into production-grade agentic systems.

You will work with state-of-the-art architectures, integrate LLMs with tools and data sources, evaluate reliability and latency, and address safety concerns.

Qualifications

• PhD, MS, or BS in Computer Science, ML, Statistics, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of related industry experience.
• Experience designing and deploying agentic or multi-step AI systems in production or research settings.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks; experience with LLM APIs and orchestration libraries.
• Experience integrating LLMs with external tools, APIs, and structured data sources.
• Understanding of prompt engineering techniques including chain-of-thought and few-shot prompting.
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML systems and monitoring production.
