Job summary

Unicon Pharma Inc. is seeking an experienced AI/ML Scientist with a strong Data Science background and hands-on expertise in Agentic AI to develop reliable AI agent workflows for scientific data extraction, processing, and analysis.

You will design, build, and optimize AI agents, pipelines, and LLM-based applications, collaborating with data scientists, software engineers, and researchers. This role emphasizes scalable, testable solutions in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
• Strong Data Science background with hands-on Python programming experience.
• Proven experience in Agentic AI, AI Agents, and LLM-based application development.
• Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as OpenAI Agents SDK or LangChain/LangGraph.
• Strong understanding of API integrations, structured outputs, and data pipelines.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, debugging, and software development practices.
• Knowledge of machine learning, data quality, and model evaluation.
• Exposure to Databricks and cloud platforms is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Agentic AI workflows and LLM-based applications.
• Build AI agents using Python, LLM APIs, and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Develop data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and structured data extraction.
• Implement typed output schemas, data validation, and automated testing.
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure agent performance, accuracy, and reliability.
• Integrate AI workflows with Databricks and cloud-based environments.
• Optimize agent workflows for performance, cost, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Research Scientists on AI-driven projects.
