Protocase Inc. in Wilmington, NC, seeks an AI Engineer (Agentic Workflows) to design and build AI-powered workflows on top of LLMs. You’ll own orchestration, retrieval, tool integration, and prompt design to convert business problems into concrete pipelines.

You should have 3+ years of software development, hands-on experience with LLM APIs, and solid Python and container skills. This in-office role offers a clear mid–senior path with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building apps on top of LLM APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic workflows that plan, call tools, and chain multi-step actions to complete tasks with minimal human intervention.
• Integrate large language models into products and internal tools via APIs and open-source frameworks.
• Architect retrieval-augmented generation pipelines with embeddings, chunking, and vector DBs.
• Design prompts and context-management strategies to steer model behavior.
