McKinsey & Company seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer for USG Analytics to design, build, and deliver agentic and generative AI-powered workflows for government clients. You will develop scalable backend services, data pipelines, and secure applications that integrate across complex enterprise systems.

You will engage with stakeholders, translate challenges into technical plans, and help advance AI-enabled solutions with ongoing innovation and strong governance.

Qualifikationen

• US Citizenship required.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, AI/ML, or full-stack development.
• Experience deploying applications in cloud-native environments.
• Experience building within complex, highly regulated environments preferred but not required.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Java, TypeScript).
• Experience building or integrating, LLM-based systems, Agentic frameworks, RAG pipelines and vector databases.
• Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and modern DevOps practices.
• Understanding of secure system design and compliance considerations.
• Systems thinker who can connect user needs to architecture.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and deploy agentic and generative AI-powered solutions for government clients.
• Develop scalable, secure applications that integrate across enterprise systems with high performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate user needs into actionable software solutions.
• Engage directly with government stakeholders and client service teams to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Prototype rapidly to test agentic and generative AI capabilities and contribute to internal libraries and accelerators.
