Job summary

Vericast is seeking an AI Engineer III to lead hands-on development and delivery of Agentic AI applications across the enterprise. You will guide a team of AI engineers, set engineering standards, and align work with business objectives, collaborating with VP Engineering and Data Strategy on execution strategy.

You will own day-to-day technical delivery, design scalable architectures, and ensure secure, reliable AI systems while mentoring engineers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or numerical field required.
• 8+ years designing software and/or data pipelines.
• 3+ years leading engineers on AI/ML projects.
• Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, RAG chatbots, vector databases, NLP automation, MCP Server, embedding search, and LLM integration.
• Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS and/or Azure, Spring Boot, Node.js, CI/CD.
• Experience with data tools such as Trino, Superset, Starburst SQL Server, ETL, S3, Airflow, Iceberg, PySpark, or Hive is preferred.
• Experience building financial services solutions in big data infra is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, deployment and support of Agentic AI applications across the enterprise.
• Mentor AI Engineers and contractors with code reviews and guidance.
• Architect and implement RAG pipelines, vector databases, and LLM integration.
• Develop MCP Server integrations and tool-use frameworks.
• Translate AI strategy into concrete technical execution plans with leadership.
• Select and integrate AI frameworks ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Establish CI/CD, testing, and responsible AI guardrails.
• Monitor emerging AI trends and assess applicability to initiatives.
