Agent Front Desk InterContinental Suites Hotel
The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a Front Desk Agent, you’ll be the person they rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights, and anticipate every detail of a friction-free experience. You’ll also create a warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.
Key Accountabilities
- Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience.
- Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone.
- Manage guest bookings, upselling opportunities, and inform guests about ways to enhance their stay.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Check guests in and out efficiently—collect IDs, distribute room keys, and manage safety deposit boxes.
- Record and act on guest preferences; handle messages, requests, questions, and concerns proactively.
- Be a trusted contact for guests, assisting with billing issues and providing local knowledge, involving management when necessary.
- Follow safety procedures diligently, report incidents, and wear protective gear as required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand positively.
- Stay informed about the day’s events and activities.
- Assist colleagues with additional duties as needed.
Key Skills & Experiences
- Excellent communication skills—approachable and attentive to guest concerns and compliments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to turn issues into positive experiences.
- Fluency in the local language; additional languages are a plus.
- Proficient in reading, writing, basic math, and computer use.
- Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus but not required.
- At least one year of experience in front desk or guest services preferred.
- Physical strength to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg), with the ability to bend and kneel.
