Job Title: Restaurant Server

Hotel: Suites Hotel Cleveland (CLEHB), 8800 Euclid Avenue, 44106

Great restaurant memories come from many places. The sights, sounds, scents and, importantly, service. As a Restaurant Server, you’ll welcome our guests, recommend food and drink and help keep service on-track and up to standard. By tailoring each guest’s experience to their unique tastes, you’ll create memories as delightful as the dishes.

Key Accountabilities

1. Make each meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the taste buds. With your own signature flare, you’ll turn our high standards into memorable meals for every guest.
2. Own your kitchen – keep on top of supplies and equipment, and minimise waste.
3. Report unsafe equipment, low supplies or safety incidents to your supervisor or duty manager.
4. Help create a safe space by following safety procedures and wearing necessary protective equipment.
5. Maintain cleanliness by meeting or exceeding local hygiene laws.
6. Assist with washing up and other kitchen duties when needed.
7. Enhance guest experience by assisting with queries or providing advice.
8. Wear your uniform with pride.
9. Take on ad-hoc duties as needed to support the team.

Key Skills & Experiences

1. Physical strength to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50lbs (23kg), involving bending and kneeling.
2. Good literacy skills in reading, writing, and basic maths.
3. Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
4. Compliance with local laws on food handling and alcohol service; fluent in the local language; above minimum age requirement.
5. Excellent communication skills; warm, welcoming, and approachable.
