Job Description

The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As a Front Desk Agent, you’ll be the person they rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights, and anticipate every detail of a friction-free experience. You’ll also create a warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience.
  2. Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone.
  3. Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities, and inform guests about ways to enhance their stay.
  4. Handle cash and credit transactions.
  5. Check guests in and out efficiently—collect IDs, distribute room keys, and manage safety deposit boxes.
  6. Record and act on guest preferences, and handle messages, requests, questions, and concerns.
  7. Assist guests with bill issues, local knowledge, and escalate to management when necessary.
  8. Follow safety procedures, report incidents, and wear protective gear as needed.
  9. Maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand positively.
  10. Stay informed about daily events and activities.
  11. Support colleagues with ad-hoc duties as needed.
Key Skills & Experiences
  1. Excellent communication skills—approachable and attentive to guest concerns and compliments.
  2. Problem-solving skills to turn issues into opportunities, leaving guests with positive memories.
  3. Fluency in the local language; additional languages are a plus.
  4. Proficiency in reading, writing, basic math, and computer skills.
  5. Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  6. High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree is a bonus.
  7. At least one year of experience in front desk or guest service roles preferred.
  8. Physical strength to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and perform related physical tasks.
