Job summary

Pinkerton in Columbus, OH is seeking a qualified security professional to perform concierge-level security at client sites and events. The role involves deescalation, incident reporting, patrols, and emergency response planning within a 6am-1:30pm weekday schedule.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with security experience, OPOTA/CCW licenses, and completion of Pinkerton’s licensing process. Prior armed security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with law enforcement, military, and/or security experience.
• OPOTA, Firearm Bearer Endorsement, and CCW required.
• Licensing process may require verification of licenses and entity affiliation.

Responsibilities

• Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.

• Deescalate tense situations or individuals that may arise.
• Write detailed incident reports following incidents or variances.
• Conduct quality investigations and complete investigative reports.
• Oversee campus drop-off/pick-ups and conduct perimeter patrols.
• Provide response services related to emergency planning and disruptions.
• Transport clients to and from locations/events.
• Secure residential perimeter and review CCTV; respond to alarms.
• Identify and elevate equipment deficiencies/failures.
• All other duties as assigned.

The Agent may perform a variety of responsibilities based on the assignment to include concierge-level, residential, campus security, event security, response services, basic driving, and/or investigations.

The schedule is Monday - Friday 6am-1:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
• Provide the client with concierge-level security at the client location and/or events.
• Deescalate tense situations or individuals that may arise.
• Write detailed incident reports following any incident, occurrence, or variance that warrants documentation.
• Conduct quality investigations and complete investigative reports.
• Oversee external campus drop off/pick-ups and conduct perimeter patrols, as assigned.
• Provide response services related to emergency and crisis planning, high risk terminations, workforce disruptions, natural disaster, civil unrest, and threat monitoring.
• Transport the client to and from company location and/or events, as assigned.
• Secure the client’s residential perimeter and review CCTV, manage access controls, and respond to alarms, as assigned.
• Identify and elevate equipment deficiencies/failures.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with law enforcement, military, and/or security experience. An OPOTA, Firearm Bearer Endorsement, and CCW are required. This position requires completion of Pinkerton's licensing process which will require additional training and may include verification of required licenses and affiliation to the appropriate Pinkerton entity.

• Concierge-level customer service knowledge.
• Able to complete thorough and accurate investigations and reports.
• Access control systems, CCTV, and alarm monitoring experience.
• Problem resolution skills.
• Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer knowledge; Microsoft Office.
• Prior military and/or law enforcement and 3+ years of armed experience is preferred.
