About the RoleAs our first Business Development Representative (BDR), you will take ownership of outbound pipeline generation.
Your focus will be targeting mid-market construction firms using Sage 300 CRE, identifying financial and technical buyer personas, and crafting personalized campaigns that drive qualified demos & and trials.
You’ll collaborate with Marketing and Sales leadership to iterate fast, test new ideas, and scale what works. You’ll be expected to own results—not just activity. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be part of building a go-to-market engine from the ground up.
What You’ll Do:
- Prospect List Building & Management:Build and refine lists of CFOs, controllers, and IT leaders in Sage 300 CRE accounts using ZoomInfo, Wiza, and LinkedIn Navigator.
- Outbound Campaign Execution:Launch multi-touch outbound sequences (email, phone, LinkedIn, direct mail) and partner with marketing to align paid media and content.
- Messaging Development & Testing:Write persona-specific outreach and A/B test messaging, subject lines, and CTAs to improve demo conversion rates.
- CRM & Funnel Management:Track campaigns in Zoho CRM and Outreach.io. Own your funnel hygiene and attribution.
- Marketing Material Input: Provide insights and recommendations to the Marketing Director on the types of marketing materials (e-books, case studies, blog posts) needed to support business development efforts. Define the expected ROI and effectiveness of proposed materials to help prioritize resource allocation.
- Trial & Demo Booking:Set meetings that lead to product trials or ABI demos—aligned to specific buyer pain points.
Your First-Year KPIs- Qualified demos/trials booked (primary)
- Demo-to-opportunity conversion rate
- Cost per qualified demo
- Marketing-influenced pipeline value
About You- 1–3 years of outbound BDR/SDR or AE experience in a SaaS or tech-enabled services company
- Able to absorb and communicate complex value props (e.g., WIP, forecasting, ERP integration
- Exceptional written communicator with sharp copy instincts
- Comfortable running cold outbound campaigns and owning a number
- Highly self-directed—you default to action
- Organized and data-driven, not just creative
- Familiar with Zoho CRM, Outreach.io (or similar tools), and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Nice to Have- Experience selling to finance, ops, or IT buyers
- Prior exposure to Sage 300, construction tech, or ERP-integrated tools
- Familiarity with ABM, intent data, or direct mail campaigns
