BlueCare is seeking a part-time Cook at the Tallebudgera Aged Care Facility. The role involves preparing and presenting meals that meet dietary requirements, with support from the kitchen team.

You will ensure safe food handling, accurate documentation and adherence to IDDSI guidelines while contributing to resident comfort and wellbeing. Applicants should have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent), strong food safety knowledge and the ability to work well in a team, including

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Food safety knowledge and safe handling practices
• Understanding of IDDSI, allergens and dietary requirements
• Ability to work in a team and follow directions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to resident-centred care and positive dining experiences
• Basic computer and documentation skills
• Experience in aged care or healthcare food service (highly regarded)
• Satisfy probity checks required by legislation or policy

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals in line with menus and dietary requirements
• Ensure meals meet IDDSI, allergen and texture-modified needs
• Deliver meals that are well-presented and served at correct temperature
• Support food preparation, portioning, plating and kitchen operations
• Follow safe food handling, hygiene and infection control standards
• Complete documentation including temperature checks and production records
• Identify and report hazards, incidents or equipment faults
