Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine in Berwyn, PA, seeks a part-time swim program coach for youth ages 12 and under to oversee and coach age-group programming. You’ll work with members and parents, and assist the Director of Competitive Aquatics to build a year-round plan including meets and summer league.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years coaching experience, current lifeguard certification or willing to obtain within 30 days, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• Competitive Swimming Experience for a minimum of 4 years preferred.
• Current Lifeguard certifications or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must have at least 2 years of coaching experience with swimmers of all ages.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• YMCA swimming coaches' credentials or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to demonstrate all swim strokes.
• Ability to direct programs through supervision of volunteers and staff required.
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
• Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.
• Display a positive and professional attitude and possess strong interpersonal skills.]
