Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Swim Coach to deliver a high-quality, safe program for all swimming levels at Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn, PA. This part-time role focuses on creating effective practices and supporting a competitive swim team while upholding YMCA values.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma and swimming experience; certification within 90 days is required. Benefits include YMCA membership and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Competitive swimming experience or swim instruction experience highly preferred.
• Must be able to demonstrate swim stroke techniques.
• Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.
• Any additional certifications as required by the YMCA or USA Swimming.

Responsibilities

• Creates and conducts swim practices as assigned by the supervisor.
• Assists other coaching staff in supporting practices, meets and other team activities, keeping the program goals in mind.
• May maintain records as required (attendance, progress reports, etc.).
• Actively promotes YMCA Character Development and Core Values.
• Presents a professional image at all times.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
