Job summary

Foundation Communities is hiring a Teen Youth Program Assistant in Austin, TX. This part-time role supports after-school and summer programs for middle and high school youth, typically 1:30-6:30 pm Monday–Friday at Trails at Vintage Creek.

Responsibilities include leading activities, helping with homework, and creating an inclusive, safe environment while maintaining required documentation and safety practices. Competitive benefits and scheduling flexibility are noted.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check.
• Must enjoy working with pre-teens/teens (6th–12th grade).
• Available to work Monday–Friday (1:30pm–6:30pm) and some summer hours.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead activities including arts, STEM/STEAM, reading and fitness.
• Assist children with homework and academic enrichment.
• Prepare lessons and supplies for in-person and virtual activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and safe environment.
• Promote an inclusive, welcoming environment for all participants.
• Maintain program documentation and supervise students.
• Support food pantries as needed and follow CDC safety guidelines.
