Job summary

Foundation Communities in Austin, TX is seeking a Teen Youth Program Assistant for after-school and summer programs serving 6th–12th graders. This part-time role runs 1:30pm–6:30pm Monday–Friday at Trails at Vintage Creek, focusing on homework help, enrichment, fitness and inclusive, safe environment.

You must be eligible to work in the United States, have a high school diploma, enjoy working with teens, and be able to travel between FC sites.

Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Must have a high school diploma.
Must enjoy working with pre-teens/teens 6th–12th grade.
Flexibility to meet changing work needs and demands.
Ability to lead fitness activities and supervise sports.
Ability to organize activities and make sound judgments.

Responsibilities

Plan and lead activities including arts/crafts, STEM/STEAM, reading, and nutrition in-person and online.
Proficient with basic computer skills and online tools.
Prepare lessons and materials for in-person and virtual settings.
Assist children with homework and enrichment activities.
Maintain clean, organized classrooms and common areas.
Promote an inclusive, welcoming environment for all participants.
Ensure safety and supervision of students.
Maintain program documentation.
