Job summary

DREAM's after-school program in East Harlem and the Bronx invites an energetic instructor to lead Technology and Game Design activities for Pre-K to 8 students. You will design engaging lesson plans, deliver 45-minute sessions, collaborate with Youth Workers and school leaders, and uphold safety and healthy learning environments.

Reporting to the Dean of Student Life, the role requires in-person availability Mon-Thu 3-6:15pm, with part-time hours and hourly compensation between $30 and $38.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age by the role’s start date.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or related certification preferred.
• 2+ years experience working with groups of youth or similar.
• Ability to plan and implement lessons in the specialty area.
• Strong passion for the subject and youth development.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• In-person work during program hours is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans for enrichment activities aligned to DREAM’s model.
• Deliver 45-minute sessions to groups of 18–20 students in Pre-K to 8.
• Collaborate with Youth Workers, Dean of Student Life, and Extended Learning staff.
• Embed literacy and safety throughout instruction and activities.
• Prepare materials and facilitate clean-up after activities.
• Model professionalism and positive behavior for youth.
