Job summary

DREAM is seeking part-time Enrichment Specialists to design and deliver enrichment activities for Pre-K to 8th grade students at EAST Harlem sites. You will work with Youth Workers and the Dean of Student Life to provide engaging, hands-on experiences aligned with the DREAM program model.

You will foster literacy, manage materials, and maintain safety, while collaborating with staff to ensure a positive youth experience and strong family engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age by the role’s start date.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or cert preferred.
• 2+ years experience working with groups of youth, or similar experience preferred.
• Ability to independently plan and implement lessons in specialty area.
• Strong passion for the specialty area and youth development.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans for enrichment activities for PreK-8.
• Deliver activities aligned to the DREAM program model.
• Collaborate with Youth Workers and leaders to provide cohesive experiences.
• Embed literacy throughout instruction.
• Prepare materials before activities and supervise cleanup.
• Encourage youth participation and model professionalism.
• Implement health and safety protocols and respond to incidents.
• Budget notes: activities may require materials with a conservative budget.
