Job summary

The City of Colonial Heights (Contract) is seeking a Site Supervisor for the KAP afterschool program. This role supports students ages 9-14 through tutoring, mentoring and recreational activities under the Office on Youth & Human Services Division.

You will supervise staff and volunteers, ensure safety and program quality, and help coordinate daily activities and parent communications for the September 2026–April 2027 program year.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• At least 2 years of direct experience with elementary school aged youth.
• Valid Virginia driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
• CPR/First Aid certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all site staff and volunteers and ensure safety and age-appropriate activities.
• Provide leadership and be a positive role model for youth.
• Plan and supervise developmentally and academically appropriate activities.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe learning environments.
• Develop and maintain weekly activity calendars and parent communications.
• Maintain attendance logs and inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Ensure sign-in/sign-out compliance and coordinate with school staff.
