Job summary

The Farmington Family YMCA is hiring a Before and After School Care Site Lead to supervise, plan, and implement activities for children, supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development at the assigned site.

Located at Farmington Public Schools, the site location will be assigned by management based on staff availability and area needs. Applicants should meet licensing requirements, obtain DHS clearance, pass TB testing, and complete CPR/First Aid within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• 2 years of childcare experience preferred
• Education in Elementary Education, Recreation, or Early Childhood
• Experience supervising children preferred

Responsibilities

• Attends to the needs of participating children while maintaining a safe, nurturing environment at the site
• Communicates with parents through newsletters, calls, and face-to-face meetings
• Develops and implements weekly lesson plans with themed activities and literacy/stem initiatives
• Sets up and cleans learning spaces and prepares materials and supplies
• Maintains relationships with school and YMCA staff and participants through meetings
• Provides healthy snacks and ensures required paperwork is kept up to date
