Job summary

Plymouth Family YMCA is hiring a Site Lead for Before and After School Care. The role involves supervising a group of children, planning and implementing activities, and supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development at assigned sites.

Requirements include potential experience in childcare, education coursework, and MA/CT state licensing readiness; CPR/First Aid and related trainings within 60 days.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in childcare preferred, not required.
• Credit hours in Elementary Education, Recreation, or Early Childhood.
• Experience supervising children preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Care for participating children and maintain a safe, nurturing environment at the site.
• Communicate with parents via newsletters, calls, and face-to-face updates.
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans with themed activities, STEM, literacy, and leadership initiatives.
• Set up and clean learning spaces and prepare materials to meet standards.
• Coordinate with school and YMCA staff and participate in meetings and events.
• Understand and follow emergency procedures and practice drills.
