Job summary

Wissahickon Charter School is seeking Recess and Afterschool Program Teachers for the Fernhill and Awbury campuses. The role runs 9:30 am–5:30 pm at Fernhill and 10:00 am–6:00 pm at Awbury, with paid breaks.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working with elementary and/or middle school students.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Dependable with a good attendance and punctuality record.
• Clearances required by law and safety trainings offered by WCS.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, engage, and facilitate recess for all students and create a safe, fun environment.
• Design a daily agenda for the afterschool program and manage time/space for activities.
• Provide academic support and enrichment in small and large groups.
• Maintain attendance records and communicate progress with coordinators and families.
• Ensure policies and safety procedures are followed at all times.
