Job summary

Resurgence Hall is seeking a part-time After School and Recess Associate to oversee an engaging program for grades K-8. You will supervise scholars after school, lead enrichment activities, and coordinate recess and community connections with a focus on safety and learning.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience teaching, coaching, or working with elementary or middle school children.
• Experience teaching in a low-income community is preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Hours: 12pm–5pm or 1pm–6pm with mandatory paid professional development hours.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead an aftercare program for grades K-8.
• Provide a safe, inviting, engaging environment after school.
• Plan and lead safe, organized daily recess and community connections activities.
• Engage in effective school-wide classroom management.
• Accept and incorporate feedback and coaching from administrative staff.
• Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Director of Operations and School Service
