Job summary

Arc After School and Experiential Education is seeking a Site Coordinator at a Los Angeles area school. This full‑time, non‑exempt role will supervise program staff, support program leads, and ensure a safe, engaging after‑school environment that promotes academic and personal growth for students.

You will partner with school administration, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate transportation and meals as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in after-school programming operations and administrative skills.
• 1+ years’ experience managing a team.
• Strong communication with kids, parents, school admin and teachers; problem solver; team player; attentive listener.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and common operating systems.
• College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units or passing an academic proficiency exam.
• TB test with negative result and Live Scan background check; CPR and First Aid training within 12 months.
• English–Spanish bilingual speaker highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily afterschool programs and activities.
• Recruit, train, and manage afterschool program staff.
• Serve as primary contact for school administration; foster partnerships between school and staff.
• Develop staff schedules, assign duties, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Provide professional development to enhance staff effectiveness.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive environment and address student behavior constructively.
• Monitor attendance and engagement; communicate with parents and school staff.
• Collaborate with district staff to align program goals with school needs.
• Maintain records (attendance, incidents, evaluations) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and manage the program budget; oversee program setup and materials.
• Coordinate transportation and meals/snacks as needed.
• Act as primary contact for the afterschool program; represent the organization positively.
