Job summary

City Year is seeking an After School Manager to lead afterschool programming across 14 partner schools in Philadelphia and Norristown. This part-time, hourly role (25 hours/week) will provide strategic oversight, staff coaching, and data-driven improvement while aligning with grant requirements and City Year’s mission.

The position is grant-funded through April 2029, not benefits eligible, and requires five days in-person at local schools with occasional evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4+ years of experience in child development, education, social services, or comparable experience; Authorized to work in the United States
• Criminal background history clearance to work with school-age children

Responsibilities

• Lead afterschool programming across 14 partner schools.
• Align afterschool strategy with organizational priorities and grant requirements.
• Monitor program quality and consistency across sites.
• Supervise and coach two After School Coordinators.
• Develop site-specific plans to support program quality and student outcomes.
• Facilitate training and regular site visits for AmeriCorps Members and staff.
