Job summary

Think Together in Adelanto, CA is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator to support day-to-day operations of the Expanded Learning program under the Site Coordinator. This role requires coordinating activities, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with grant requirements while building strong relationships with students, families and school personnel.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $22.00/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Six months experience working with youth in a classroom or afterschool setting required.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience in a supervisory role required, preferably in an afterschool program or school setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or assist in managing day-to-day operations of the expanded learning program.
• Support with supervision of program staff (Afterschool Youth Leaders, Instructors).
• Lead and/or assist with interviews, hiring recommendations, disciplinary actions, and staff evaluations.
• Assist with providing training, guidance, and ongoing support to program staff.
• Serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism.
• Lead and/or assist in creating program schedules including academics, recreation, and enrichment activities.
• Plan and participate in events and field trips for the program.
• Maintain positive relationships with school personnel, Think Together staff, students and families.
• Recruit students to meet attendance targets per grant requirements.
• Assist with student-to-staff ratio and facilitate classes in absence of staff.
• Enforce policies to ensure a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Support staff development through classroom observations and coaching.
• Assist in surveys and documentation for program evaluations.
• Submit timesheets and required documentation on time.
• Represent Think Together and uphold policies.
• Attend required trainings and travel for off-site meetings.
