Job summary

YMCA of Orange County is hiring a Part-Time Childcare Teacher at Guin Foss YMCA ELOP in Santa Ana, CA. The role supports curriculum-aligned activities for children ages 5-12 in after-school, camp, or daycare settings.

Be part of a welcoming team focused on caring for families and fostering social-emotional growth, with a schedule Monday–Friday 1pm–6pm. YMCA benefits include membership, training, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (ages 5-12) in after-school, camp, or daycare settings.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Education: High School Diploma; 6–12 CD units (or college CD/Education units) with related experience.

Minimum Qualifications (Must Meet One Level):

• Minimum Age: 18+ years old.
• Experience: Required experience working with children (ages 5-12) in an after-school, camp, or daycare setting.
• Education Requirements:
  • Assistant: High School Diploma (Experience preferred).
  • Teacher 1: 6 Child Development (CD) units + continuous enrollment toward 12 units (6 months experience required).
  • Teacher 2: 12 CD units (6 months experience required).
  • Teacher 3: 12 college units (6 in CD/Education) + 1 year experience required.
