Job summary

YMCA of the East Bay is seeking a Site Coordinator to lead the Expanded Learning Program after school. You will supervise staff, plan activities, maintain records, and ensure safety for all participants while aligning with district goals and YMCA values.

You will work with school staff to connect afterschool activities to the curriculum, tutor students as needed, and participate in ongoing staff development and program improvements.

Qualifications

• 48 semester college units, or successful completion of the IA Exam.
• 2 years of previous experience working in a professional child care or school age program.
• 1 year of previous supervisory experience.
• General knowledge of core elementary and middle school subjects.
• Strong classroom and behavioral management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 30 days of hire date.
• DOJ/FBI criminal record clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage staff and ensure activities align with program goals.
• Coordinate daily activities and create schedules with community events.
• Maintain program records and CPM audit documentation.
• Ensure program safety and compliance with district guidelines and YMCA policies.
• Link program activities to school-day curriculum and support academic goals.
• Tutor students in language arts, mathematics, and reading when needed.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in program improvement processes.
