Job summary

The YMCA of Greater San Francisco is seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator for its after-school program in San Francisco. The role supports daily supervision, program implementation, and youth/staff development to maintain a welcoming site.

Under the Youth Program Director, you will help create an academic and enrichment-based program compliant with Youth Development Principles and California licensing, coordinating schedules, families, and staff training.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete a background screening, including criminal and employment verification.
• Some positions may also require a credit check.

Responsibilities

• Program Support and Leadership: plan and run an after-school program; manage daily schedule; maintain 14:1 student-staff ratio; follow budget and funding guidelines; be present during program hours.
• Family and School Engagement: build relationships with families; address concerns; work with school staff to align efforts; attend monthly school site meetings.
• Program Operations: schedule activities; track attendance, snacks and paperwork; ensure spaces are clean; submit reports; follow YMCA, school district and grant guidelines.
• Staff Training and Support: complete all required YMCA trainings; attend meetings; help hiring, onboarding and coaching of staff; ensure staff training is completed.
• Fundraising and Mission Support: participate in fundraising events; demonstrate commitment to youth development and YMCA mission; grow in leadership and teamwork.
