Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Site Counselor to lead elementary-age activities in our after-school program. You will plan and implement engaging activities, ensure alignment with Bright from the Start and YMCA standards, and work under the Site Director to maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.

You will support virtual learning as required, communicate with families, and maintain program records.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with school-age children in a group setting.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient with MS Office and online platforms.

Responsibilities

• Operate the program according to BFTS and YMCA policies.
• Create an engaging environment with activities and instruction to meet program goals.
• Deliver the program in compliance with YMCA and BFTS regulations.
