Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Denver is seeking an Out-of-School Time Program Lead at Glendale Sports Center in Glendale, CO. The role leads activities, supports staff, and ensures a safe, engaging environment aligned with YMCA values, including caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

The position emphasizes delivering high-quality customer service, supervising youth, and integrating character development into daily programming, with hours aligned to after-school slots.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 months (460 hours) experience with children under 13
• Strong group management and conflict resolution skills
• Experience creating interactive youth activities and educational enrichment
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
• CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Deliver OST program and lead activities
• Support staff and ensure safety and engagement
• Provide welcoming environment and customer service
• Observe behavior and assist in supervising groups up to 15 youth
• Maintain program areas, supplies and equipment
• Attend trainings and staff meetings
• Follow YMCA policies and dress code
