Job summary

Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools is seeking a Kids' Company Assistant for the Community Education Services program. The role supports the Site Leader in planning daily activities, supervising children, and maintaining a safe, enriching environment after school hours.

The ideal candidate is at least 18 years old, has a high school diploma or GED, and preferably one year of experience with young children. CPR/First Aid certification is required or will be obtained after hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• One year of experience working with young children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Leader in planning, implementing and carrying out daily activities.
• Supervise children's activities, including set-up and clean-up, and ensure all safety rules are followed.
• Support and implement discipline procedures as needed when directly involved with the situation.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Actively participate in games, projects, and activities, serving as a positive role model and leader.
• Maintain program supplies and communicate with the Site Leader when additional materials are needed.
• Be available to work on release days as scheduled by the Site Leader or Kids' Company Coordinator.
• Communicate any concerns, incidents, or unusual situations to the Site Leader and/or Coordinator.
• Attend staff meetings and recommended training programs to meet in-service training requirements.
• Promote teamwork, excellent customer service, and a positive image of the program to colleagues, students, parents, and the community.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with district and program policies.
