Job summary

Winona Area Public Schools is seeking a Key Kids Program Assistant for the 2026-27 school year, with multiple vacancies. This after-school position runs Monday through Friday, 2:00pm–5:00pm, in a K-5 childcare setting across the district.

The program assistant supports the supervisor and helps provide a safe, enriching environment, supervises activities, plans and organizes events, collects activity fees, and assists with snacks, lunchtime supervision, and daily center maintenance both indoors

Qualifications

• Applicants must possess the desire to work with children in a childcare setting.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and play on the floor indoors and outdoors with children.
• Preference may be given to candidates with training or experience in human services or with advisor work experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and encourage children to participate in activities, plan and organize activities, and collect fees for activities.
• Prepare snacks and supervise the lunch area.
• Help with daily organization of games, equipment, and supplies, and oversee center cleaning and outdoor areas as needed.
