Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools is seeking a Kid Zone Assistant to engage with students before and after school, leading educational and enjoyable activities while ensuring their safety. The role includes opportunities to participate in field trips and create memorable experiences for students.

The position requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma, and experience with children in group settings. You will support the classroom and supervision duties as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age and a high school diploma are required.
• Training or experience working with children in a group/tutorial and supervisory setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with students and adults in a school setting as determined by the coordinator.
• Basic academic competencies to provide tutorial assistance to students as needed.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise large and small groups of children in planned activities across classrooms, cafeteria, gym, computer lab, playground and field trips.
• Work with children with a variety of needs.
• Supervise children during transitions, meals, and snack times.
• Assist the Kid Zone Instructor in preparing and implementing the daily curriculum.
• Maintain a clean and organized room by setting up, cleaning and storing supplies and equipment.
