Job summary

Independent School District 272 Eden Prairie is seeking a School-Age Care Activities Assistant (Temporary) to support student programming within Community Education. This student worker position offers morning and/or afternoon shifts, with hours varying by program enrollment.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old; First Aid/CPR certification is preferred and training is provided if needed. Prior experience with children is valued, especially with elementary ages.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred. The program will offer training to all staff who are not certified.
• Two years of experience working with children, planning, organizing and promoting programs, preferred.
• Comfortable working with elementary aged children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and oversight of appropriate activities for children.
• Supervise children in a positive manner.
• Serve as a liaison between the Community Education programs and school staff and parents.
