Job summary

Tutor Partners LLC is seeking in-person high school math tutors for the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District afterschool program. Tutors will provide small-group support from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m., reinforcing classroom instruction and accelerating learning.

The role emphasizes data-driven instruction, differentiation, and collaboration with site staff. This is a part-time, in-person position through May 2027, with onboarding and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Tutors with strong math content knowledge aligned to CA standards.
• Ability to adapt lessons for varied skill levels and learning styles.
• Experience with after-school or intervention programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted, small-group instruction in high school math.
• Reinforce core concepts, support homework and class work, guide practice activities.
• Use data and alignment strategies to tailor lessons to student needs.
• Foster a supportive, culturally responsive learning environment.
• Collaborate with site coordinators and teachers to ensure progress.
• Maintain attendance, progress, and session documentation on time.
