Job summary

Tutor Partners is seeking experienced middle and high school math tutors to provide in-person tutoring at LACOE Juvenile Court Schools in the Los Angeles area. The role focuses on delivering targeted math support to students in grades 6–12 within a specialized educational setting.

Responsibilities include small-group instruction, progress tracking, and collaboration with teachers, administrators, and site staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 24 college credits required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with students in grades 6–12; juvenile justice or alternative education setting a plus.
• Strong math content knowledge; tutoring in ELA a plus.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to pass required background clearances (LiveScan).

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and push-in math support aligned to student needs during the school day.
• Track and report student progress.
• Participate in instructional planning with teachers and school leaders, assessments, and coordination meetings.
• Collaborate with Tutor Partners staff and site personnel to coordinate scheduling and materials.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment.
