Job summary

After-School All-Stars LA is seeking a Part-Time Program Leader to provide leadership and support in academic, cultural, and recreational enrichment. You will help maintain a safe, engaging environment for youth after school, under the supervision of the Program Coordinator.

The role requires scheduling in the 2:00PM–6:30PM window, with a 20:1 student ratio and a collaborative approach with district staff, parents, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Experience with K-12 students in recreational, educational settings.
• Ability to work with School District staff, officials, parents, and community leaders.
• Must clear TB screening and DOJ/FBI Live Scan prior to hire; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning and implementing the daily after-school program under supervision.
• Maintain a 20:1 youth ratio using recruitment and retention strategies.
• Develop positive relationships with youth, guardians, and school staff to raise program visibility.
• Communicate attendance data and program progress to supervisor as part of quality improvement.
• Prepare supplies and materials; create an engaging academic and enrichment environment.
• Supervise activities to ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive atmosphere.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Oversee field trips and events as needed; manage distribution of supper/snack per policy.
