Job summary

City of Springfield is seeking an Educational Coordinator to ensure the 21st CCLC grant and Afterschool Program requirements are met. The role involves supporting teachers and leaders in project-based learning activities and coordinating program components across afterschool and summer sessions.

The ideal candidate will assist with curriculum planning, data collection for surveys, and collaboration with school staff to expand learning opportunities in math, science, and literacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree is preferred.
• Two years of experience in an educational setting or similar role.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all 21st CCLC grant and City Afterschool Program requirements are met.
• Assist staff with implementing project-based learning activities.
• Support planning, curriculum development, and program design to align with grant needs.
• Promote and support afterschool and summer programming with school staff.
• Collect data for program reporting and pre/post surveys as required.
• Prepare, organize, and present materials to students and perform clerical tasks.
• Maintain daily attendance records and incident reports; manage snack sheets and food program tasks.
• Facilitate collaboration among staff to strengthen partnerships between in-school and afterschool programs.
