Job summary

Springfield School District - VT is seeking an Afterschool Activity Specialist to supervise and instruct children in before/after-school and summer programs. You will lead staff and volunteers, plan curriculum aligned with state and common core standards, and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with Vermont certificates or degrees, CPR/First Aid, and a proactive, collaborative approach to work with youth of all ages.

Qualifications

• Be eighteen years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent and within one year of employment complete one of the specified Vermont certificates or degrees.
• CPR-First Aid certification or be able to complete within 3 months.
• Enthusiasm, responsibility and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct children in enrichment and academic activities.
• Supervise Afterschool Program Staff, Aides and Volunteers.
• Support daily operations including attendance, materials preparation, and family greetings.
• Plan curricula aligned to state and common core standards and implement the Before-During-After chart.
• Ensure safety and confidentiality, follow policies, and participate in trainings.
