Job summary

The YMCA is seeking an Enrichment Leader to supervise and support a group of students ages 5-12 daily, helping with homework and enrichment activities while ensuring safety and positive role modeling.

Under the supervision of the Enrichment Supervisor, you will plan and implement activities in arts & crafts, science, sports, drama and more; assist with online learning and craft engaging learning environments; you will also model respectful communication and collaborate with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma/GED.
• Ability to work with groups of children ages 5-12 from diverse backgrounds.
• Completion of Child Abuse Prevention training prior to working with program participants.
• CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification from an approved organization (American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety & Health Institute) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the daily program in accordance with YMCA policies.
• Develop and execute lesson plans in arts & crafts, cooking, science, engineering, sports, drama, and more.
• Support and guide students with online distance learning and homework completion.
• Create an age-appropriate learning environment that fosters creativity and individuality.
• Supervise participants to ensure safety and positive behavior at all times.
• Maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and families.
• Participate in staff meetings and activities and model appropriate conduct.
