Job summary
Right At School is hiring Educators to lead before/after school activities at partner schools in the Chicago area. Join a team delivering enrichment, homework help, and safe, engaging programming for kids.
You'll greet students, run activities, supervise play, and communicate with families. Must be reliable, with at least 1 year of child-care experience and the ability to lift 25 lbs. Multiple school sites and flexible AM/PM shifts available.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children under 13 in a childcare/school setting.
- Strong communication with children and adults; customer service oriented.
- Comfortable leading groups and activities, flexible for multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in students; take attendance and maintain records.
- Plan and lead daily activities, games, and enrichment lessons.
- Support with homework and academic tasks as needed.
- Supervise during free play, snack, and transitions; ensure safety.
- Address minor behavior issues with positive guidance.
- Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up/drop-off.
- Log incidents and safety concerns; report promptly.
- Set up/clean up space and materials daily.
- Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with staff.
