Job summary

The Northeast Bronx YMCA in New York is seeking an Afterschool Coordinator to lead program operations, ensure safety, and align activities with school goals. You will manage data, supervise staff, and support students in a structured after-school setting.

This role emphasizes SEL implementation, district compliance, and collaboration with host schools and community partners to enhance student development and family engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree in Education preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
• Experience with diverse youth and families helpful.

Responsibilities

• Direct afterschool programs for designated grade bands K-5 or 6-8.
• Promote SEL practices and engaging activities.
• Coordinate data management and program records.
• Maintain compliance with OCFS, DOH, DYCD and funders.
• Develop partnerships with schools and community partners.
• Oversee schedules and staff supervision.
