Job summary

YMCA seeks an experienced coordinator to oversee one afterschool site and one camp site in Jacksonville, FL. You will develop developmentally appropriate activities, supervise a diverse team, and maintain budgets while engaging with parents and school staff to support youth growth.

You will ensure program quality, health and safety standards, and compliance with YMCA policies and grant requirements, while promoting the YMCA mission in the community.

Qualifications

• Two or more years' experience in a supervisory position.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certification within 30 days of hire.
• Fulfillment of YMCA program certifications as required.
• Willingness and ability to communicate effectively with youth.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 1 Afterschool Site and 1 Camp site.
• Develops developmentally appropriate activities for Team-Up program.
• Supervises staff and interacts with parents, staff, and supervisors.
• Maintains program budgets and reports spending.
• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly activities for students and host events.
• Collaborates with school staff to support student academic progress.
• Ensure health, safety, and compliance with YMCA policies and grant requirements.
