Job summary

University of Pennsylvania seeks an UACS OST and Adult Education Coordinator to bridge the OST/adult education programs with the University. The role oversees afterschool, evening, and summer enrichment, plus partnerships and activities.

The position is Regular Part-Time, with duties including supervision of PT staff, student workers, and volunteers, plus ensuring compliance and reporting for funders. Based in Philadelphia, it offers a 12PM–6PM/12PM–8PM schedule and a 1-year term.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 1–2 years’ experience working with high school–aged students and young adults.
• Strong experience with community schools, preferably university-assisted community schools, and service learning.
• Knowledge about Penn and West Philadelphia preferred.
• Experience facilitating youth development programs, collaborative work, and managing multiple programs.
• Track record of self-directed and team-oriented achievements.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and flexible.
• Ability to walk frequently and work at community schools in person at least 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise the program’s part-time staff, student workers, and volunteers.
• Support delivery of instruction and programming and ensure effective service implementation.
• Handle program reporting and compliance with funders and Netter Center.
• Coordinate with faculty partners and school leadership to address academic needs.
• Work with supervisor and school administration to ensure program success.
