Job summary

LabCorp in Fort Walton Beach, FL seeks a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture/capillary methods for all ages and handle specimen processing with attention to accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Phlebotomy certification or training, and 1+ year of phlebotomy experience is preferred. Travel to other sites may be required; vaccination against COVID-19 is required or accommodation provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
