Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned Parts Sales professional in Oshkosh, WI to provide parts service and support for authorized dealers and customers. You will drive replacement parts sales, analyze RFQs, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with substantial experience in defense aftermarket parts, ITAR/EAR awareness, and strong communication and travel readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and six (6) or more years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Equivalent to twelve (12) years total in education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel to visit customer sites and attend industry events.
  • Project management experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Experience with ProPricer is a plus.
  • Strong technical aptitude and experience with vehicle maintenance parts.
  • Master’s Degree in a related field or relevant equivalent work experience is a standout qualification.
  • Applicants may need to be U.S. Persons for positions involving ITAR/EAR-controlled goods and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide parts service and support information to authorized dealer organizations and customers.
  • Support product maintenance and aftermarket customer satisfaction.
  • Build effective relationships with internal personnel, dealer representatives, and customers.
  • Drive sales of replacement parts and components by managing existing relationships, identifying new opportunities, developing sales strategies, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Review and analyze customer RFQs, contracts, and purchase orders for part or kit conformity and terms compliance.
  • Identify and supply accurate parts information for product maintenance and repair.
  • Coordinate information, parts, or service requirements with outside sources.
  • Document dealer inquiries in the case management system.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Account Representatives, Warranty, Publications, and Technical Support.
  • Support departmental key performance indicators.
  • Participate in product, technology, customer-support, and personal-growth training.
  • Perform clerical and non-clerical departmental duties as needed.
  • Manage assigned current and future department projects and provide progress updates.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and continuous-improvement initiatives in the aftermarket parts supply chain.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and procurement officers.
  • Analyze market trends and develop targeted sales strategies.
  • Prepare competitive proposals and quotations with pricing, delivery timelines, and technical specifications.
  • Review and approve quotes according to signing authority level.
  • Maintain knowledge of defense systems, components, parts, and obsolescence management.
  • Develop sales forecasts, track performance, and generate reports.
  • Monitor defense aftermarket industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with pricing teams on profitable pricing strategies.
  • Generate leads through networking, industry events, and trade shows.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints throughout the sales cycle.
  • Contact OEMs to obtain bills of material and illustrations.
