Jobtailor in Portland seeks an experienced Aftermarket Program Manager to supervise the Portland Aftermarket Product Launch team, ensure part readiness, serviceability, and documentation of engineering direction for Series and PAR projects.

Collaborating with Parts Catalog, Purchasing, Service, and Engineering, you will drive continuous improvement, manage supersessions, and develop data quality metrics for documentation and throughput, enhancing customer experience across the aftermarket supply

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required with 5–7 years of relevant experience or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience leading and developing employees in manufacturing, engineering, or related environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and influence outcomes.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; advanced Excel with pivot tables and macros.
  • Experience with DTNA systems and data platforms is preferred.

Job description

  • Supervise and lead the Portland Aftermarket Product Launch team
  • Ensure part readiness, serviceability, and documentation of Engineering direction for Series and PAR projects
  • Manage supersessions, introduce new technologies, support service needs, report on projects, and manage major project initial PDC stock
  • Supervise analysis of engineering change notices and determine service documentation data requirements
  • Identify service-related parts, including assemblies, sets, and kits
  • Collaborate with Parts Catalog, New Material Load, Purchasing, Pricing, Supplier Management, Service, Material Planning, Warranty, Program Management, Engineering, Global Service Parts, and other teams
  • Support new product introductions through leadership regarding new PDC stock and dealer stocking levels
  • Interpret Engineering data interchangeability and its impact on service
  • Apply TOS principles to improve systems and processes
  • Support continuous improvement activities focused on customer experience
  • Develop data quality metrics and performance criteria for documentation quality, throughput, and rework
  • Ensure production-impacting Engineering changes are documented for Aftermarket serviceability
  • Escalate off-track project deliverables through appropriate channels and committees
  • Report project status through Aftermarket Supply Chain, Aftermarket Product Project Committee, and Aftermarket Launch Readiness forums
  • Maintain Aftermarket parts status integrity, including Activations, Deactivations, Supersessions, and EOL designations in Paragon
  • Manage and maintain Aftermarket Franchise Codes in Paragon to control dealer-group ordering access
  • Make staffing decisions including hiring, firing, rewarding, training, and developing employees
  • Coordinate team resources and set daily priorities to meet operational objectives
  • Interpret and administer policies, processes, and procedures
Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience or 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience leading and developing employees in a manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, aftermarket, or related environment
  • Experience supporting engineering change processes, service parts operations, or product lifecycle management activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical and operational data and make sound business decisions
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and influence outcomes with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, and/or Manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Proven PC skills using MS Office Suite
  • Advanced Excel abilities, including Pivot Tables and Visual Basic Macros
  • Experience and working knowledge with SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, SmartSheet, Snowflake, and DTNA databases including HANA tables
  • Experience with DTNA IMS and Paragon systems
  • Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States at the time of application
  • Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
  • Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
