Aftermarket Automotive Purchasing Assistant

Position Overview

The Purchasing Assistant will assist in procuring parts for Turn 14 Distribution customers, support the execution and implementation of new brands and product lines, leverage communication skills to enhance relationships with vendors, and collaborate within the Purchasing department and other departments at Turn 14 Distribution.

Responsibilities

• Confirm vendors receive Turn 14 Distribution orders within 2 days
• Research and resolve price discrepancies between billed and anticipated prices, coordinating with the accounting department
• Verify and update data for images, descriptions, and activity status of items in the system
• Ensure correct pricing and discounts for existing items
• Investigate open orders pending over 30 days
• Input shipping dates received from manufacturers
• Coordinate with Divisional Purchasing Managers and vendors to resolve issues
• Configure product names, descriptions, and pricing for new brand loads
• Manage price change notifications from manufacturers
• Load product images for existing parts and new brands
• Update descriptions for incorrect or outdated fitments
• Gather clearance items and process RGAs for returns to manufacturers
• Add new product lists from vendors
• Identify and resolve issues with items held in receiving
• Discontinue, supersede, or reactivate items as needed
• Assist other departments in resolving outstanding issues
• Help resolve shipping errors
