Job summary

High Tech High is seeking an Aftercare - Expanded Learning Assistant for the Mesa Campus to support afterschool programming. The role involves supervising children, running enrichment activities, assisting with homework, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment after school hours.

This in-person, part-time position offers an hourly wage of $20.60–$25.11 depending on experience; benefits are not included. Applicants must be available during afterschool windows and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with students.
• Ability to work well with school-aged students.
• Comfortable leading enrichment activities with students; inform and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise school-aged children indoors and outdoors
• Maintain an orderly, safe, and organized environment for the students
• Take attendance to ensure that all students are accounted for
• Plan, develop and run engaging student activities
• Assist students with virtual learning activities and homework assignments
• Understand and implement emergency procedures, including safety protocols
• Perform related duties as assigned
