Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Southern Utah offers an afterschool program for grades Kindergarten through 8th, operating Monday through Friday until 6:00 pm during the school year. This part-time Youth Development Professional role supports engaging activities in Education, STEM, Fine Arts, and more.

Responsibilities include planning and supervising lessons, promoting participation, and modeling positive behavior while ensuring safety and program quality within the Gateway Prep Academy afterschool

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Experience working with children preferred.
Knowledge of youth development concepts helpful.

Responsibilities

Prepare engaging, fun lessons and activities in specific program area(s)
Prepare Youth for Success
Create an environment that facilitates Youth Development Outcomes
Promote and stimulate program participation
Provide guidance and role modeling to members
Ensure members participate in varied activities and receive constructive feedback
Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety, and development
Monitor and evaluate program services and activities
Oversee member safety, program quality, and appearance
Participate in weekly staff meetings
Attend additional training outside regular hours
